This blog is written and maintained by Shaun Snapp. I am an independent SAP consultant focusing on SCM. This blog started as a method for me to document my work and testing in SAP, and to keep up with other consultants in this sub-specialty. Less than half of the content is public, and this is actually a good demonstration of how blogging software can serve both a private and distributed function.
Configuration Database
This blog is also an example of a configuration database, which is a concept that is not widely adopted in the software implementation business. The concept of providing a search-able system for documenting complex systems is greatly underutilized. I have spoken to large consulting companies on this topic, but they seem to prefer to document their work in MS Word, if at all. Many corporations are also implementing MS SharePoint, which is a failure with regards to configuration and document management. I invite anyone to simply search for a topic or use the category selections on this blog to see how easy blogging software makes it to document, archive and search for content. This site is based in the excellent WordPress blog software.
